Musa Jarju, a drug police officer, last Thursday testified at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court as the trial surrounding 132 kg of cannabis sativa got off to a start.
In his evidence, officer Jarju adduced that the accused, Musa Badjie, was arrested in November of this year following receipt of information that he was dealing in illegal drugs.
“I, alongside Burama Jammeh and Njaga O. Njie, all drugs officers, made for his compound in Tallinding and upon a search on his house, 123 bundles of marijuana, concealed in five bags, were found there. He was later arrested and escorted to the police station where he was charged,” Jarju adduced. At this juncture the case was adjourned to November 29.
