YAP Ends Peace Education Training

Friday, March 14, 2008

Training in any discipline is essential for sustainable growth and development. To this effect, Youth Ambassadors of Peace, YAP, concluded a five-day peace education-training workshop last Tuesday.  The event focused on conflict resolution for national assembly members, chiefs, security forces, as well as youth and women leaders.

Addressing participants at the opening as well as the closing ceremonies of the program at AFET office in Brikama, Mr. Fabakary Kalleh, Executive Secretary of YAP, advised participants to take the training seriously. He informed those gathered that they are expected to disseminate the message acquired to at least fifteen people in their respective communities after which they will be awarded a certificate.

This peace education training, the second of its kind to be organized by youth ambassadors of peace, has been funded by Concern Universal.
