GCCI, IFC Train Food Processors

A five-day training workshop on food processing, packaging and preservation is underway at the Paradise Suites Hotel in Senegambia.

The workshop brings together 70 participants and was organised by The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry with international cooperation.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony the Chief Executive Officer of GCCI, Mam Cherno Jallow, urged the participants to take the workshop seriously.

He revealed that the workshop aims to build the capacities of food processors in the areas of food processing, packaging and preservation.

He further expressed his association’s willingness to organise another workshop for food processors in the country.

For her part, the Communications Officer of GCCI, Mrs. Beatrice Prom, expressed her gratitude to the participants for their attendance.
