Unity for Kids Football Academy, a football academy situated at New Jeshwang has recently prevailed victorious during the celebration of the the Global Peace Games for Children & Youth that was spear-headed by the SoS Children Village.
The event is marked annually worldwide to portrait United Nations initiative to promote sports, peace and development. The Jeshwang-based academy that comprises of youngsters with an average age of 10 clinched one of the coveted trophies in the football disciplines.
Reacting to the victory, Mr Bekai Jatta, the Secretary-General of the academy said: “The victory will go a long way to boost the moral of the kids and the technicians alike.” On the objective of the academy, Jatta said: “Unity for Kids Football Academy aims to unifying kids through the medium of sports.” For Mr Jatta, every kid should be given equal chance to expose their talent. He said: “Against this background, Unity for Kids Football Academy caters for all categories of children ranging from orphans to under-privileged kids in the street.
In conclusion, Mr Jatta thanked the United Nations and SoS Children’s Village in particular for spear-heading such a giant initiative that aims to develop sense of glamour and enthusiastic in the children of the World.
