The swearing-in of President Yahya Jammeh will take place on December 15, The Point has reliably learnt.
Many dignitaries, including Heads of States from Africa and beyond, are expected to grace the occasion.
It will be recalled that this is the third time President Jammeh is elected to administer the affairs of The Gambia.
He was first elected in a democratic election in 1996, following a two-year transition after the 1994 military take-over led by Mr Jammeh.
His election was repeated again in 2001.
Meanwhile, the Office of the president has announced that celebrations to mark the victory of President Yahya Jammeh in the September presidential elections will be held from 17th November to 19th November 2006. The celebrations, according to the release, will be held in all the regions of the country.
