Mustapha Kanteh, 22, and Ousman Bidwell, 21, who were among the 18 victims of the Monday 30th October fire outbreak in Kanifing Estate, have passed away on Saturday 4th at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital where they had been admitted.

Mustapha Kanteh had been a Gambia Ports Authority employee and Ousman Bidwell a student at Trust Communication Institute.

It could be recalled that a severe fire outbreak occured on Monday 30th October at the compound of one Ousman Njie, in Kanifing Estate G86, which left 18 people severely injured.

Lamin Kanteh, an elder brother to Mustapha, described the two friends as sociable, friendly and indeed disciplined. They were laid to rest yesterday at Kanifing Estate. Hundreds of people attended their burial ceremony.
