Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI) on Monday, December 4 engaged their visiting Swedish partners in a friendly football match played at the institution’s campus in Old Jeshwang.

The friendly game which was initiated in a bid to add more icing to the visit of Rodengymnasiet College students, showed the visitors trailing 3-4 to their host.

Mr Edward Mansal of GTTI said the friendship between GTTI and Rodengymnasiet College in Sweden was facilitated by the former SoS for Youth and Sports, M. Sarjo Jallow.

According to him, the link is aimed at fostering unity through exchange visits between the two schools. He added that the two sister-institutions are both technical and its students can experience different sets of technical knowledge and materials.

The Swedish delegation comprised 28 people, four of whom are lecturers.
