Amadou Samba, others hailed for supporting U-20

Amadou Samba, a prominent Gambian businessman has received a pat on the back from the country’s football governing body, for his unwavering support to The Gambia U-20 team.

Mr Seedy Kinteh, the President of The Gambia Football Association said Mr Samba was very helpful to the team during their home preparation towards African Youth Championships final holding in Congo.

Speaking at Sate House last Tuesday, Mr Kinteh said: “Amadou Samba was very helpful to the team. He was providing water to the team at free of charge during their training session and camping.”

Kinteh also hailed Mr Hatib Jannneh Junior, the proprietor of Sea View Hotel, for providing free accommodation to the team during their qualifying campaign. “Mr Janneh provided free accommodation for the team during our qualifying matches and we really appreciated his package,” he said.

The Gambia Telecommunication Company Ltd (Gamtel) and its sister company, Gamcel, were also commended by the GFA President for their association with the team.
