Gambian traditional healer lauds Jammeh

Dr Papa Ousainou Mboob, a Gambian Traditional healer and a member of the Traditherapeuth San Frontieres, which has its headquarters in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, and also Secretary of the West African traditional Healers Network, has congratulated President Yahya Jammeh for his discovery of the traditional medicines to heal Gambians of various illnesses.

In an interview with the Daily Observer on Friday, Dr Mboob reiterated that “I have said in many occasions that African traditional medicine has the potential to cure many illnesses. The Gambia can be a center of excellence in traditional medicine. So, we can have institutions in the country where students with ‘A Levels’ can study traditional medicine”.

He also commended President Jammeh for recognising the fact that many traditional medicines can be produced in The Gambia to cure different illnesses”.

According to Dr Mboob, Dr Ebrima Malick Samba will be proud of the strides that President Jammeh is making noting that this was what Dr Samba has been advocating for during his tenure as World Health Organisation’s Director General for Africa.

He commended President Jammeh for the manner and the professional way in which he is handling the affairs of the nation. He also made mention of the various developments registered in the country under President Jammeh. He however, encouraged other African Heads of State to follow President Jammeh’s trend. He described President Jammeh as an exemplary leader among Heads of State. He finally congratulated him for his victory in the last presidential elections.
