The President of the Republic of The Gambia and Chief Patron of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) has acknowledged the brilliant performance of The Gambia’s U-20 football team at the on-going African Youth Championship in Congo Brazzaville.

Speaking in an interview with GRTS, President Jammeh thanked the Almighty Allah for the performance and called on all Gambians to pray for the Gambian team’s continued success in the tournament. “ The final results of the tournament is in the hands of Allah, the Almighty, who has already decided the winner. May it be the Gambian team,” he said.
