The Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Hon. Alhagie Mass Axi Gye has sent an appreciation message to the Gambia Football Association (GFA) for congratulating him on his appointment at the helm of Gambian Sports.

In his message, Secy Gye appreciated the kind words and prayers the GFA leader, Seedy MB Kinteh, sent to him following his appointment.

In the massage sent to GFA and copied to Pointsport, Secy Faye said:” I have no doubt in my mind that I will continue to do my best to compliment the efforts of His Excellency the President Dr Alhagie Yahya A.J.J Jammeh in his drive to move The Gambia to higher heights. His development agenda have indicated in no small terms his commitment to the advancement of the youth and sports sectors,”

Secy Gye later assured the GFA that his department is more than ever before committed to the development of both youth and sports and would be quite willing to continue to cement the cordial relationship between the FA and the department to better move the game of Football to higher heights.

“I wish to express my sincere gratitude to your humble self, management and staff of GFA for the invaluable support during my tenure as second vice president of the FA,” Hon. Gye concluded.
