Supreme Court to Hear Appeal Cases in November

A notice issued by the office of the Judicial Secretary has revealed that the Supreme Court of the Gambia would hear pending appeal cases from 12th – 23rd November, 2007.

According to the notice, “all members of the Gambia Bar and the general public desirous of filing appeals or any application to the Supreme Court from any decision of the Court of Appeal or any other court are hereby informed that the next sitting of the court is scheduled to take place from the 12th – 23rd November this year.”

The notice further revealed that those with matters or cases on appeal to the above court are requested to complete all requisite steps on or before 23rd October. “The Supreme Court wishes to inform all those concerned that it will strictly conform to rules and time limits for the filing of any process of court,” the notice added. “The co-operation of all legal practitioners and the general public is therefore solicited,” the notice concluded.
