Humanity First donates food stuff to victims of wind storm

Humanity First on Sunday October 21 donated over hundred (100) bags of rice, worth over seventy thousand Dalasi (D70,000) to the victims of wind storm in the Central River Region, CRR and Lower River Region, LRR.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Chairman of Humanity First, Kawsu Kinteh The Gambia branch said their office is a sub branch of Humanity First of UK, which was initiated by the Ahmaddiyya Muslim Jama’at.

He added that the organisation was registered as an independent charitable organisation in 1992. He noted that the main objective is to help the poor and the needy, regardless of anything. Mr Kinteh extended their Amir’s message to the victims.

The Governor of CRR, Gauyie Touray commended Humanity First for their humanitarian assistance. According to him, Humanity First ultimate objective is to give maximum support to human beings. He spoke at length on the assistance the Ahmaddiyya Jama’at have been rendering to Gambians.

He noted that quantity does not matter what matters is the intension. The Deputy Governor, Momodou Katim Touray spoke on the need to assist fellow Muslim brothers whenever the need arises. He finally thanked Kawsu Kinteh and the delegate for their timely intervention.
