New Deputy Executive Director - GNOC

The Gambia National Olympic Committee has appointed Mr Lawrence Bruce as new deputy Executive Director of the institution.

Mr Bruce, who officially took up this position October 1st, has thirteen years experience in management development. He studied in the USA and Scotland, and holds a BSc Degree in Business Administration and Management with a post graduate degree in Development management from Glasgow.

Lawrence Bruce, described as a staunch and dedicated sportsman is very much active in tennis and football and currently serves as an executive member of the Gambia Tennis Association.

According to a release from the GNOC office, Mr Bruce has attributes in strategic planning, strong programme implementation background and Law, which will no doubt offer GNOC and the sports fraternity new insights into strengthening and promoting Olympism in The Gambia.

“Mr Bruce comes to the organisation with thirteen challenging years of laudable career in management development very much anchored to the education sector development programmes”, the release stated.
