Mustapha Camara, a youth from Siffoe village in Kombo Central, was on Monday, arraigned at Brikama Magistrates’ Court, for attempting to murder one Ebrima Badjie, contrary to Section 200 (b) Cap 10, Vol III of the Criminal Code, Laws of The Gambia.
Mr Camara was accused of an attempted murder, after afflicting injuries on Ebrima’s body, with a cutlass.
However, Camara pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him.
At that juncture, Presiding Magistrate John Njie, adjourned the case to Monday 15th October, for continuation.
In the same court, one Alhamdou Trawally, a native of Busumbala, appeared in court for willful damage to properties, belonging to one Modi Trawally.
On count one, on 7th August 2007, at Busumbala village, Alhamadou Trawally, unlawfully uprooted 35 gmalaina trees, broke up six padlocks of the stores and then demolished a block fence of Modi Trawally.
On count two, Alhamdou, on the same day, unlawfully removed the compound boundaries of Modi Trawally, with intent to defraud.
However, he pleaded not guilty on both counts. Presiding Magistrate Njie subsequently adjourned the case to Monday, October 15th, for continuation.
