Monday, November 12, 2007

Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday, entered judgement in favour of Hassim Keita, the plaintiff at the sum of D35,000, plus D150 against Queen Danso, the defendant.

This development came following the continuous absence of the defendant, in court without advancing reasons.

Magistrate Mbackeh also ruled that the amount be paid within 14 days. The defendant, Queen Danso, was not in court on Wednesday.

“The law is here to help those who help themselves and not those who don’t want to help themselves,” said Magistrate Mbackeh.
