President Jammeh Invites Taiwanese Investors to The Gambia

The Gambian President has invited the Taiwanese private sector to take advantage of the cordial relationship between Taipei and Banjul.

According to GRTS, President Jammeh made this invitation during his six day working visit to that country. During the course of this visit he got an overview of key industries.

Among the types of companies invited by the Gambian leader are energy companies and computer manufacturing outfits. President Jammeh informed the firms of The Gambia’s Silicon Valley project.

He said that with regard to electricity that the Government wants to make electricity affordable to all Gambians. It’s hoped that this could be achieved particularly through the provision of solar energy for rural communities.

President Jammeh assured Taiwanese investors that The Gambia’s strategic location would allow them to avail of wider market outlets.
