Susan Waffa-Ogoo, Secretary of State for Trade Industry and Employment, was yesterday relieved of her duties with immediate effect by President Yahya Jammeh.
According to the press release from the Office of the President, President Jammeh acting on powers conferred upon him under Section 71(4)(b) of the constitution has relieved Mrs. Waffa-Ogoo of her duties.
The release reads: His Excellency the President of the Republic of The Gambia Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him under section 71 (4) (b) of the constitution of the Republic of The Gambia has relieved Mrs. Susan Waffa-Ogoo, of her cabinet appointment with effect from 20 February 2007.
