Bundung Home Red Cross Link observed on Friday its 10th anniversary in the form of a symposium with the theme “the Future of the Red Cross Society” at the B.O. Semega Janneh Hall in Tallinding.

Speaking on behalf of his Secretary of State, Mr. Alhagie Omar Taal of the health department expressed delight for gracing such a memorable event.

He commended the Gambia government for supporting the fruitful existence of the Red Cross Society in the country, adding that “government dynamic partnership and cooperation” with the Society had contributed immensely in enhancing the activities and service of the humanitarian body in The Gambia.

He also commended members of the Gambia Red Cross Society for the good and tremendous job they have been doing in the service of humankind.

He said the invaluable contribution of the Gambia Red Cross Society in the country’s immunization process had tremendously helped and saved his department from incurring excessive cost in its task of sensitizing and immunizing the Gambian people.
