The management and staff of Sarge’s Hotel formally ‘Tafbel’ on Saturday 10th March, embarked on a general cleaning exercise locally known as ‘set-settal’ within the Tafbel hotel premises.
The exercise was meant to provide a clean, healthy and conducive environment for both the employees of the hotel and people living around the area.
In an interview with the Daily Observer during the clean-up exercise, Ya Awa Sarge Jasseh, Operation Manager of Tafbel Hotel said that the exercise is the first of its kind since the inception of the hotel. She expressed delight at the high turn-out of the staff. “I am very impressed with the high number of staff and I sincerely hope that it will continue,” she said.
Sarge Jasseh called on all Hotels in The Gambia to emulate their gesture.
On his part, Lamin Touray Restaurant and Bar Manager of Sarge’s Hotel, commended the participants for attending the exercise, noting that he initiated the exercise.
Mr. Touray then hailed the management of Sarge’s Hotel for the exemplary works, adding that he has always been advocating President Jammeh’s Operation Clean the Nation. He then dwelled on the importance of living in a clean environment.
