King Colley’s appointment praised

The appointment of Lamin King Colley by the Gambia Football Association to serve as the new team manager for the Gambia U-20 team has been greeted with big applause from sports enthusiasts in the country.

Many fans who spoke to Observer Sports said the Western Region Sports Committee chairman undoubtedly deserve the credit.

“King is a real sports promoter. His unprecedented commitment and dedicated in sports development is not only felt in Western Region but all over the country,” said a keen sports fan.

Colley, a Police Officer-cum-sports administrator was appointed last week as U-20 team manager. He replaced a veteran referee, Malick Sillah, who has bagged an appointment with the Gambia Consulate in Morocco.
