George Cole inspires his club to semis

Gambia marvel teenager, George Cole, on Saturday scored from a corner kick to ensured his amateur side-Tynecastle Star’s progress to the semi final stages in the Logan Cup Championship in Scotland.

George Cole’s magnificent extra-time brace prevailed the only goal of match against Seaforth Highlanders.

Tynecastle Stars team manager, Andy Gibson, hailed Cole’s heroic performance. “He scored a classic goal that saved us really restore our hope in the tournament,” he said.

Tynecastle Star are the current holders of the Logan Cup which was first introduced in the 1924/25 season. They have won the cup twice since the new millennium-2001 and 2006 seasons.

Tynecastle Stars will now face West Pilton Albion in the semi final match the date of which will be decided in the due course.

However, George Cole was not the only Gambian on the pitch on that day. His team-mate, Ousman Sonko was also brilliant at the up front.
