Ismaila Sambou, Secretary of State for Local Government and Lands, has announced the untimely death of Bekai Jibba, Chief of Kiang West, and Lower River Region.

According to a notice from the Department of State for Local Government and Lands, “this sad event occurred on Wednesday 7th March, 2007”.

The news is extended to President Yahya AJJ Jammeh, the entire Cabinet, the Governor, Lower River Region, Chief Executive Officer and staff of Mansakonko Area Council, the Local Government fraternity and the general Public.

The Department then prayed for the departed soul to rest in perfect peace.
