Six accused persons: Isamaila Sonko, Mustapha Colley, Ousainou Jarju, Edrisa Sonko, Bakary Jarju and Ramatoulie Bojang, were on Tuesday arraigned before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrate Court, for obstructing a police officer, contrary to the Criminal Code.
The six, who pleaded not guilty to the charges, on 8th February 2007, at New Jeshwang, unlawfully obstructed Police Constable Baboucarr Tamott, Baboucarr Trawally, Pa Susso, Ousman Jallow, Omar Colley and Alieu Camara in due execution of their duties.
However, the case could not proceed, because of the absence of the police prosecutors, who were reportedly busy with their transfer arrangements.
