Black Cap Book Binding, supported by Otter Book Binding in the UK, a charitable organisation, on Saturday donated two cartoons of notebooks and D1,000 cash to Badala Nursery School in Fajikunda.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony held at the school’s premises, the proprietor of Black Cap Book Binding, Omar Jarju, said they are proud to be associated with not only Badala Nursery School but also other schools in The Gambia.

“We find it as an obligation to donate this little amount of money and other items to the school,” he said, adding that as his project is specialized in bookmaking, they found it important to create and maintain links with schools in the country.

Mr Jarju urged Gambians and tourists coming to The Gambia to join hands and support his project so that they would be able to extend more help to other schools.

“When we have the capacity we will also donate to other schools and learning institutions such as the University of The Gambia, GTTI and MDI,” he added.

The ceremony was attended by Hamat Jarju, general manager of Safari Garden, and other dignitaries.
