The Taiwanese Ambassador to The Gambia, H.E. Dr Patrick Chang, on Thursday handed over keys of three repaired vehicles to the Department of State for Foreign Affairs (DoSFA).

The vehicles were repaired by the Taiwanese Embassy at a cost more than US$5,000.

Presenting the keys to the Department, Ambassador Chang commended the Foreign Affairs Department for the long-standing fruitful cooperation that has so far existed between his office and the department.

He said he was pleased that his office had been able to undertake the repair and maintenance of the vehicles.

Ambassador Chang expressed hope that the vehicles would be handled and used properly so that they serve well to ease the department’s mobility problem.

Mr. Muhammad Batata Juwara, Director of Protocol at the Foreign Affairs department, said they were grateful to the Taiwanese for the kind gesture.

He said the proper functioning of his unit within the Foreign Affairs Department is crucial.
