Samba Bah, 25 years, a native of Tallinding and resident of Kanifing Estate who sustained severe burns in the gas explosion at the Kanifing Estate was confirmed dead lat Saturday April 21 at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital.
According to Musa Bah, a relative to the deceased, the late Samba Bah who was among the last four survived gas explosion victims, was release but was re-admitted at the RVTH few weeks after his release. He had about three weeks in the hospital. He continued that the late Samba Bah was later released but last Thursday April 19, 2007, was again admitted at the RVTH but died in the wee hours of Saturday April 21.
It could be recalled that Samba Bah was among the 18 victims who sustained burns in the dreadful Kanifing gas explosion that sent waves of fear and panic in the hearts of many about the dangers of gas fire. The explosion of the gas cylinder occurred in the house of one Ousman Njie of NO. G 86 in Kanifing Estate.
The late Samba Bah was laid to rest at 2PM on Saturday at his native town of Tallinding.
