Dr Badara Loum, former Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Agriculture, who is facing charges of economic crimes, was yesterday granted bail to a sum of D500,000.00, or an equivalent land property within the Greater Banjul area.
Suruwa Jaiteh, also former PS at the same department and co-accused in the case, was earlier granted bail on the same conditions.
It could be recalled that the two former Permanent Secretaries are facing charges of economic crimes, contrary to the Laws of The Gambia.
The case was then adjourned to June 7, for continuation.
