The Gambia Cricket Association recently benefited from Cricket Materials presented by Ram International Limited Company in the United Kingdom.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Sonny Manly Rollings, president of the Association thanked Mr. William Eve a British National for the development which is geared towards the development of Cricket not only in the Gambia but in the sub region as well.

Mr. Jonny Gomez Vice President and team manager of the Association said:" It is the first time in the region of North-West Africa to experience the game of Cricket."
He added that the Gambia would be hosting the 1st Edition of an International Cricket tournament in the Sub –region. Which would be officially opened by the Hon Secretary of State For Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Omar Faye.

The items were presented on behalf of Ram International Limited by Mr. Fabakary Dampha.
 Mr. Alhagie Dodou Joof of GNOC presented a trophy to the Association.

The international cricket tournament is expected to kick off today to the 18th of May.
The Gambia would play Mali in the opening.
