GFA 2nd Division bubbles

The long-awaited GFA Second Division league season got to a sensational start on Friday, May 11. There were two wins out of the three matches played on Friday while the fourth game got aborted owing to lack of ruled playground.

Of the wins, Tallingding United scored the highest number of goals after a breath-taking 3-2 win over the Western Region side, Jambajelly at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.

Samger also ease past Ham Ham after a hard-fought lone goal victory at Serrekunda West Mini-stadium on the same, while Nema United salvaged a goalless draw against Serrekunda East United at the East Mini-stadium.

Young Africans and Interior’s match was rescheduled because of lack of ruled field at the Banjul Mini-stadium.

At the time of going to press, four fixtures were being featured in four different grounds. Brikama United were locking horns with SK East United while Ham Ham were battling with Young Africans at Banjul Mini-stadium.

Jambanjelly were also facing Kaira Silo at Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.
