Thursday, May 17, 2007

Two Gambian nationals would go to Janjanbureh prison for 18 years in hard labour if the verdict given in their case is anything to go by.

Basiru Jammeh and Babucarr Jeng were on Monday sent to jail upon their own ‘plea of guilty’ to charges of conspiring as well as violently robbing one Basiru Mbenga of 500,000 CFA and D2,500 in May of this year at Sukuta.

The case was presided over by magistrate Amina Saho-Ceesay and the Inspector General of Police represented by 772 Samateh.
