The new Management of The Nation newspaper is pleased to inform the general public that it will commence publication of the paper on Friday, 25 May 2007, a press release from the paper has stated.

According to the release, “the new edition of The Nation will concentrate on investigative journalism while retaining its old and well-known characteristics for balanced and transparent journalism; putting the interest of the people above all; and glorifying The Gambia and reporting on all significant achievements in all sectors of the economy and society as well as those registered by individual personalities and institutions either operating in The Gambia or whose operations are relevant to the socio-economic development of the Gambia.”

The release further called on the public to always buy the paper to keep abreast with happenings and developments worthy of publication.
