The two-man delegation from the Gambia Sports Journalists Association to the 70th International Sports Press Association (AIPS) Congress held in Austria returned home yesterday morning after successfully winning the Gambia affiliation to the World body.

The delegation comprising of the President, Namory Trawally and Secretary General Amadou Korka Jallow were among the 382 delegates from 112 countries to attend the weeklong biggest sports Journalists gathering in the World.

During their trip in Austria, the Gambian delegation had many fruitful discussions with sister Associations and International sports bodies for future collaborations.

The next 71st AIPS Congress is scheduled to take place in China from May 21st to 25th, 2008.
