Yarambamba F.C are the winners of the Old Yundum Peace tournament held recently at the newly inaugurated Old Yundum football field.

They made it after defeating Central FC 2-1 in a well-contested match graced by prominent people from the area.

At the end of the match, Yarambamba FC went home with a trophy and cash prize of D1500 whilst Central F.C picked a consolation prize of D1000.

Mr. Omar Njie, President of Old Yundum Football Association, speaking to Pointsports, expressed his satisfaction in the organisation of the peace tournament and commended the youths of the area for maintaining discipline.

“Plans are on the way to fence the field and build a basket ball pitch and I am commending all those who contributed in making the championship a success,” he concluded.
