Jammeh to be conferred humanitarian ambassador with life charge

President Yahya Jammeh, the Gambian leader has been invited to participate in the first Inter-Governmental Organisation Conference that will take place in Rome, Italy from 21 to 28 June 2007, where he will be conferred the title of “Humanitarian Ambassador, with Life Charge”, by the Inter-governmental Institute for the Use of Microalga Spirulina Against Malnutrition (CISRI-ISP), an observer to the United Nation, a press release from the Office of the President stated.

The release reads: “The Inter-governmental Institute for the Use of Microalga Spirulina Against Malnutrition (CISRI-ISP), observer to the United Nations has notified the office of the President of its decision to confer on His Excellency, Dr Alhaji Yahya AJJ Jammeh, President of the Republic of The Gambia, the title of Humanitarian Ambassador, with Life Charge with all related prerogatives in recognition of his valour, fidelity, integrity and commitment. His Excellency, the President has therefore been invited to participate in the 1st Inter-Governmental Organisation Conference where the conferment will take place. The conference is schedule to take place in Rome from the 21 to the 28 June 2007.
 
In another development, His Excellency, Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh, President of the Republic of The Gambia has also been inducted into the International Biographical Centre (Cambridge, England) Hall of Fame, for his outstanding achievement in the field of National Development, Regional peace and Security.”
