GFA Second Division Enters week 6

The second division league of the Gambia Football Association will enter week six on Friday 25th May 2007 after the completion of week five matches earlier this week.

In the week five games, Samger FC, the league leaders, lost to Brikama United 1-0, Kaira Silo drew goalless with Serekunda East and Interior defeated Nema FC by a lone goal to nil.

Jambanjelly lost to Ham Ham FC 1-0 in a match played at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama while Young Africans shared the points with Tallinding United 1-1.

Today’s fixtures will see Interior playing with Tallinding United at Serekunda East, Samger  taking on Kaira Silo at the Independence Stadium, Ham Ham face Serekunda East at Serekunda West mini stadium, Brikama will take on Jambanjelly at the Brikama Box Bar mini stadium while Young African will lock horns with Nema FC in Banjul. All matches will kick off at 4:30 pm.

Meanwhile the standings of the table are as follows:

1. Samger: 9 points
2. Ham Ham: 9 points
3. Brikama United: 8 points
4. Tallinding United: 8 points
5. Interior: 7 points
6. Serekunda East: 7 points
7. Kaira Silo: 5 points
8. Young Africans: 3 points
9. Nema FC: 1 point
10. Janbanjelly: 1 point
