US arts exhibition a success

Baboucarr Faal, Gambian artist who left the country on February 24th, for arts exhibitions in USA has returned home on 18th May 2007.

Mr. Faal, speaking to Arts and Culture said, he was invited by Dr Kevin Mcperson, the Administrator of the Marcus Garvey Leadership School in Oklahoma City, where he did artistic paintings on the walls of the school. Added after the paintings, he made two successful arts exhibitions of his works in different parts of the Oklahoma City.

Mr. Faal noted that, both exhibitions drew attention of hundreds of arts lovers, added that he had a radio talk show at one of the private own FM station, where he spoke at length on his profession as artist and tourism in The Gambia.

The ebullient Gambian artists revealed that he came home to complete some of his projects and prepare to attend another arts exhibition in one of the European countries. Mr. Faal used the opportunity to urge the country’s artists to keep up the good work and be courageous, saying arts is a noble profession that needs encouragement and endurance.
