Can Real De Banjul Extend Lead?

Thursday, May 31, 2007

Real De Banjul, the current league leaders of the GFA first division league, will look to extend their lead today when they meet Africell/Sait Matty at the Serekunda East Mini Stadium in week 13.

The city boys had a very good running since the beginning of the second round.

They managed to collect nine points in their first three games giving them 26 points.

GPA, the 2006 league titleholders, will also look to close the gap in the week thirteen fixtures against Armed Forces today at the Independence Stadium, Bakau.

Ports have 23 points and a match in hand against Bakau United.

The two Bakau teams Steve Biko and Bakau United, currently at the relegation zone, will lock horns in the Bakau Derby at the Serekunda West Field.

Wallidan, third with 23 points, will play Sea View and will hope to maintain their position or climb at the top if GPA fail to win their game against Armed Forces.

Hawks FC, at 13 points, will be looking for a win after failing to win since their match against Real De Banjul in week six of the league.
