Four Charged for Allegedly Dealing in Fake Gold Dust

Monday, June 18, 2007

The four men, who were arrested by the police on a tip-off that they’ve disposed off 18 kilos of fake gold dust to one Borry Kambi, were on Monday arraigned before magistrate Amina Saho-Ceesay at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court.

Seedy Muhammed Trawally, Abdoulie Sillah, Maline Ceesay and Amadou Kanteh would now undergo trial for attempting to sale 18 kilos of counterfeited gold dust to Borry Kambi on pretext that it was real.

The men had denied the allegation and are expected back in court on 4 July 2007, for the opening of the full trial.
