Eliman Jammeh, one of the long served supporters of the Scorpions of the Gambia, is crying foul from the Department of State for Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs.
According to Eliman Jammeh he was shocked and surprised that, as the only long served supporter of Gambian Football, he was not included in the President’s package for the World Youth Championship in Canada.
Explaining his ordeal to Pointsport, Elimam Jammeh said that after H.E. President Yahya Jammeh disclosed his package for the fans, he took his passport to the Permanent Secretary at the Department of State For Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs, Alhagie Ebou Joof, for him to be included in the list but at his surprise, Mr. Joof told him that he was not selected.
Eliman Jammeh revealed that he has not been treated fairly by the Department of State for Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs concerning the overseas trips to support the National teams.
"I went to Congo under the ticket of the Management of the Independence Stadium and this time again they are denying me the opportunity to go to Canada," he stressed.
Eliman added that he was the only one together with Ali Kadra, who used to support the National teams before the coming up of the present Scorpions Fan Club.
"Am calling on the department to reconsider their decision," he concluded.
