Newcomers, Sea View, Africell/Sait Matty, Bakau United and Steve Biko are struggling through thick and thin to avoid relegation as the GFA First Division League season heads for its final weekend fixtures.

Two among the four must relegate and Sea View’s chance of retaining their position was further reduced on Wednesday after a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Gambia Armed Forces. The hotel club will only avoid relegation if they can win their final fixture against fellow strugglers, Steve Biko, and hope that Bakau United and Sait Matty lose their respective final fixtures.

Bakau United, who have a game-in-hand can also avoid relegation if they win their remaining two fixtures against the title contenders, Gambia Ports Authority and Real de Banjul.
