Mrs. Ngui Mboob-Janneh, the Judicial Secretary, yesterday reacted to our (The Points Newspaper) Wednesday lead story in which it was reported that Ousainou Darboe had made a contempt application against the NIA Director-General and Inspector-General of Police.

According to the Judicial Secretary, contrary to that presentation, Mr. Darboe had observed that the two court orders regarding the release and production of Messrs Ousman Jatta and Kanyiba Kanyi had not been complied with, warning that if there was no progress regarding all the other efforts that were continuing to bring finality to the matter, he might be minded to bring an application for contempt of court by the following week.
Mrs. Janneh countered that there was no application for contempt proceedings before Justice Monageng and that there is no way that she could have granted an application that was not before her.
