The upper echelons of National Agricultural Development Agency, NADA, lately paid a courtesy call on the governor of Central River Region.
The purpose of the visit, led by the Executive Director of NADA, was aimed at enlightening CRR governor on NADA’s modus operandi as well as to highlight the need for a fruitful and constructive collaboration between NADA and the office of the CRR governor.
The team comprised of Mr. Nyada Baldeh, NADA’s Executive Director, Messrs. Landing Sonko and Musa Dampha.
In a succinct speech, Mr. Baldeh expressed his agency’s resolve in rejuvenating and revitalizing the agriculture sector.
He pointed out that the modernization of the sector would herald a radical shift from small-scale food production to a commercial proportion. This, he said, would go a long way in invigorating the economy.
Also speaking, Mr. Babucarr Jaw said they would not relent in their pursuit to improve the health conditions of livestock, highlighting the need for synergies between the various key players in the livestock sub-sector.
The Governor of CRR, Mr. Ganjie Touray, commended NADA for their contribution to the agriculture sector and then assured the agency of his office’s ‘unwavering’ collaboration at all times.
