Sampon Kablan, FIFA Development Officer for West Africa region would arrive in Banjul on Wednesday, August 22 for a week-long official visit, press release from the national football governing body has revealed.
According to the release, the sub-regional FIFA boss will, during his visit, tour the second FIFA Goal Project, situated in Yundum and the proposed site for an artificial turf in Brikama.
The Ivorian Sampon Kablan will also preside over the official handing over of the keys for FIFA funded administrative building of the Gambia Football Association on Friday, August 24.
He will also meet the President of the Gambia Football Association, Seedy Kinteh before paying a courtesy call on the Secretary of State for Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs, Mr. Sheikh Omar Faye.
Kablan, who has been a regular visitor to The Gambia will wrap up his visit with a press conference on Saturday, August 25, before taking leave on the following day.
Speaking to Observer Sports yesterday, the GFA President, Seedy Kinteh, said Friday will mark the handing over of the keys for FIFA funded administrative building from the contractors to the Gambia Football Association, adding that the official inauguration of the building, which is situated at the Kanifing Industrial area, will be announced in due course.
