Global Unification Campaigns for African Unity

In order to promote policies and programs developed by the African Union and to support African leaders in their quest for African Unity for positive change in the continent, Global Unification The Gambia chapter and several civil society organizations are organizing a massive awareness creation campaign from 24th to 25th August 2007.

Speaking to the Youth Forum yesterday, Ebrima S. Dem,

National Representative Global Unification said the theme of the campaign is “one voice one action one Africa”. He added that the campaign is going to be a signal to send a clear message to African leaders, that African people are united strongly in support of the quest for a united and prosperous Africa. According to him, the campaign would be held in several counties in Africa and also in Finland simultaneously.

He revealed that a March pass would be held tomorrow starting from the Churchill’s Town Petrol Station to Buffer Zone where various speakers would deliver speeches. 

As part of the campaign, a musical concert would also be staged for young people. While on the Saturday 25th August 2007, a conference would be held at the Kanifing Municipal Council Conference Hall at 2pm. “We are calling on all patriotic Africans and non Africans residing in The Gambia to attend the all- important forum,” Mr Dem Said.
