Monday, September 24, 2007

His Excellency, The President of the Republic of The Gambia, Dr Alhaji Yahya A.J.J. Jammeh has been conferred with the Honorary President of the Organisation of West African Traditional Practitioners, WANTRAP.

The decision to appoint Dr. Alhaji Yahya Jammeh President of the Organisation was made at the General Assembly meeting of the West African traditional practitioners held in Dakar, Senegal in June this year.

In a letter addressed to President Jammeh and signed by delegates representing nine West African countries, the Gambian leader was hailed for his commitment to humanity and the attention and importance he attaches to traditional medicine for the benefit of mankind. They noted President Jammeh’s immense contribution in the revival and validation of traditional methods of treatment.

The organisation noted with satisfaction the fact that Dr. Jammeh’s cure for HIV/Aids, asthma, diabetes and hypertension is the only known cure for these diseases and that the breakthrough in hypertension is also one of the most effective treatments discovered.

The organisation commended President Jammeh for his untiring efforts and contribution in the quest to find solutions for difficult medical problems for which modern medicine lacks adequate remedies.

It would be recalled that in January 2007, the Gambian President discovered a cure for HIV/Aids. In the same month, he announced his readiness to treat asthma, which he has been doing quietly since 1994. President Jammeh went on to add to his list of cures, diabetes and now hypertension. Since then hundreds of people from the Gambia and beyond benefited from the treatments. The treatments have been proven to be effective as has been demonstrated in the speedy recoveries of the health of all those who partook in the treatment sessions.

WANTRAP, whose aims and objectives include building a robust network of traditional healers for the benefit of West Africa and the African continent as a whole, concluded by saluting His Excellency for his efforts and successes in curing diseases and ailments that western medicine cannot cure.

Meanwhile the members of the organisation are making plans to call on His Excellency President Jammeh to deliver and confer this honour.

The Secretary of State for Health Dr Tamsir Mbowe and the entire medical profession, including the President’s medical team, take this opportunity to extend their joyous congratulations to His Excellency, Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh for this distinguished honour from the West African Traditional Practitioners. This honour is a further proof of the effectiveness of His Excellency’s traditional herbal cure for HIV/Aids and the cure of hypertension.
