The KM branch of the Gambia Red Cross Society over the weekend elected its executive members for a fresh mandate of three years.

The election, held at KMC Chambers on Saturday, brought together members of Red Cross Society from all the constituencies in the Kanifing Municipality. Momodou Bah, the erstwhile vice chairman had been elected chairman whilst Omar Badjie was elected as vice chairman and Mr. Pa Saikou Manneh was returned as the treasurer.

Meanwhile, the executive is the highest decision-making body responsible for the conduct of the branch as well as the approval of proposals brought forward by the branch youth executive committee.

Shortly after the elections, the newly-elected executive members swore to live up to expectations by squaring up to the responsibilities as may be required, calling for a maximum co-operation from  BYEC and the volunteers for the smooth execution of their mandate.
