Thirty female football coaches are to be drawn from the league clubs and regions for a week-long FIFA training course.

The training seminar, jointly organised by the world football governing body (FIFA) and Gambia Football Association, is schedule for October 1st to October 7th, at the GFA Centre for Excellence.

Mrs Jane Ebbage, an expert in female coaching, is expected to arrive in Banjul on Saturday, September 29, to direct the course that aims to develop the capacity of Gambian female coaches.

During the gathering, participants will be exposed to various skills in football coaching, including principles of coaching, development of football techniques and skills, criteria for age group training, physical preparation of young players, as well as basic tactics and strategies of the world’s most popular sports - football.

It could be recollected that similar training course, jointly organised by the Olympic Committee and national football association, was held in May 2007, for thirty male football coaches, drawn from the length and breadth of the country.
