The balloting for the Quarter and Semi Finals of the St Mary’s Food & Wine Supermarket sponsored Trophy in Banjul would be held on Wednesday, 26th September 07 at half-time, KG5.

According to a release from Banjul Sports Committee all Clubs representatives are urged to attend.

In the same vein all teams are already informed that matches will start at 4.30pm prompt; due the Ramadan as the playing time will be reduce accordingly due to lateness of teams;

The release added that there will be straight penalty kicks after the end of normal time and if matches are postponed after a tie on penalty kicks, the penalty-kicks will be continued the next day. The penalty kicks will begin with five (5) penalty kicks each from 4.00pm prompt.

In another development the Organizing Committee has decided to repeal the suspension of the above named player due to a mistaken identity. He is free to play and continue to be part of the Banjul football family. We wish to apologize for the inconvenience cause.

“I am directed by the Organising Committee after scrutinizing the referee’s report that Tijan Jagne has been suspended indefinitely from all the activities of the Committee for abusing and throwing stones to the match officials. His actions were repugnant and distasteful,” the release pointed out.
