As belts continue to be tightened across the globe to combat malaria and its debilitating effects, the Association of Youth Against Malaria (TAYAM) in collaboration with CRS, NSGA, DoSH and the Divisional Team of Western Division recently embarked on a massive bed-net dipping campaign in the Western Region of The Gambia.
In an interview with our Health Desk editor, Omar Ceesay, acting Project Director of TAYAM, described this year’s campaign as a success story, lamenting that the activity was though characterized by a torrential downpour.
He thanked the Global Fund, WHO and Gamcel for throwing their weight behind the campaign.
